THE BESPOKE JOINERY PROCESS
From initial concept to precise installation.
01. Project Brief & Site Measurement
We establish the intended function, equipment requirements, storage needs, preferred materials, and visual direction of each joinery element. Accurate site measurements ensure that the final design responds properly to the surrounding architecture.
02. Design Development
Working alongside the appointed design team, we help develop layouts, proportions, construction methods, access requirements, hardware, and finishing details. Each element is considered for appearance, durability, operation, and installation.
03. Material & Sample Approval
Veneers, laminates, sprayed finishes, decorative panels, solid surfaces, glass, metalwork, hardware, and edge details are selected according to the design and expected level of commercial use.
04. Technical Coordination
The joinery is coordinated with lighting, electrical connections, data, equipment, flooring, ceilings, wall finishes, and other surrounding trades before manufacture begins.
05. Manufacture
Components are manufactured and checked within a controlled workshop environment. This supports accuracy, finishing quality, material consistency, and efficient site installation.
06. Installation & Handover
The completed joinery is delivered, installed, adjusted, and inspected. Alignment, operation, surfaces, hardware, lighting integration, and final finishing details are reviewed before handover.
KEY CONSIDERATIONS
What to know before starting.
Function & Daily Operation
Storage, equipment, stock, customer interaction, staff movement, cleaning, and maintenance requirements should be established before the design is finalised. Effective commercial joinery must support daily operation as successfully as it supports the interior design.
Material Selection
Commercial joinery experiences regular contact and intensive use. Materials, edges, surfaces, finishes, and hardware should be selected for durability, maintenance, visual consistency, and long-term value.
Services & Site Coordination
Lighting, sockets, data, appliances, ventilation, plumbing, and concealed services may need to be integrated into the joinery. Early coordination helps prevent visible alterations, delays, and compromises during installation.
